In OMT do i need to pre configure PO & PS if getting product inventory records via TMF637 from third party. Please suggest on how TMF637 API works.

I have gone through the links provided above but its not clear that if we are getting TMF637 prod inventory API payloads from third party then do we need to have PO/PS already configured in instance before getting the prod inventory data ?
