which role needed for access to create new Request Definition (sn_ind_request_definition)

Hi !

First of all , I don't see forum for "Order Management for Telecommunications and Media" in the above selection options.

Anyway, My question is : 

During the order fulfillment subflow orchestration, I need to create a task to capture some characteristic inputs from user. Somehow Neither I am not able to access existing or create new request definition. Which role is needed to have access to create NEW ' Request Definition (sn_ind_request_definition'?

hi Nishan,

Agreed and we have a plan to create a separate module and the dedicated telco role, may be the same fulfiller role(sn_ind_tmt_orm.order_fulfilment_agent) can be used here.

Unless this comes with a base product, i believe you can implement it at your end as i don't see any problem with this.

hi Nishan,

You will need an admin role to create new request definitions, i just tested it for a user with admin role and i can see "new" UI action.

Thanks for responding on my question.

Admin role (Base system roles | ServiceNow Docs) is way wide open to give it to development folks in say some limited domain like ordering  fulfillment only. I assume there must be some other restricted scoped role which is limited to this ordering or telco application.

Is that wrong expectation ?

Glad to see that we are on same page. Now, i think I have to work with my team having this admin access for defining that new custom role.

I have few more questions related to Telco Domain itself, but I would open another case to track it separately. I appreciate that you responded quickly again.
