[Article] Bye Webassessor, Hello Pearson VUE

Shruti D

📣As a Servicenow User, please note, all ServiceNow exams will be shifting from Webassessor to Pearson VUE starting November 18, 2025.

This is a significant shift in ServiceNow exam policy as it will enhance global accessibility, expand the number of test centers, and enhance online supervision.

If your target date for the exam is before transition, claim a Webassessor exam voucher and book your exam before October 31, 2025. There’s a break in the schedule from November 1-17 for migration purposes.

Everything exam-related is expected to be transferred to Pearson VUE from Webassessor. All of these ServiceNow changes will enhance the ServiceNow exam experience.

Check the Transitioning from Webassessor to Pearson VUE FAQ  for more updates.

Hello @ALindstrom ,

To this point in time, there is no information provided to suggest the exam format will shift (e.g. lab-based questions.) The changes are primarily focused on:

  • Better global access (more test centers)
  • Better proctoring
  • Better exam delivery

Hi,

I claimed a voucher today.

How can I use it on Person Vue? Will it work?

Hi @MariapaolaP ,

Vouchers claimed or issued before the transition will remain valid.
You just won’t be able to redeem or apply them on Webassessor after November 2, 2025. Once the new Pearson VUE system goes live (after November 17, 2025), your voucher will be recognised automatically there.
Starting November 18, 2025 (after the transition), you can schedule your exam on Pearson VUE using the same voucher.

Hi.  I recall reading this on the KB before the transition.  However, now that ServiceNow is on Pearson VUE, the KB article makes no mention of how to pay with an unclaimed voucher.

When I try to register for the exam from My University Account > My Exams, the only payment option offered is by credit card.

Does anyone know how to use an exam voucher issued but unclaimed with the Pearson VUE system?

Any guidance is much appreciated.

Hi @Keith K

I know it's confusing, but it has NEVER been the case that a voucher was a pass to book an exam for free. Exams have always cost money.

Previously: you did the training, got the voucher, paid by credit card to book the exam.

Now: you do the training, pay by credit card to book the exam.

All that's happened is that vouchers have been removed from the system.

Because they were called 'vouchers' people thought they had value and saved you money somehow. But they never did.

They were just an outdated way of verifying you had completed the training. Under the new system, that verification is no longer required. So no more vouchers.

Hi @Simon Hendery , I appreciate the response.  But I am not sure that is entirely accurate: completing the training enables you to take the exam, but it is not the same as a voucher.

I purchased an exam voucher with learning credits in April of this year from ServiceNow University.  It was not free.  It provided a voucher code that entitles me to register for the exam.  It was specifically for the Certified System Administrator exam and expires after one year.

Prior to the Pearson VUE switch, the KB article that announced the changes explicitly stated that if you were a voucher holder but were not ready to take the exam, there would be a way to redeem it on the Pearson VUE system.  Now there is no mention of it.
