Hi @YoussefB9120071 ,

If it is ServiceNow related role, they tend to ask for some sort of ServiceNow Certification but this is solely depending on the company. I'm sure relevant or related cert can help too.

Mainline certs are industry-recognised and validate your skills through proctored exams. University courses are great for learning but aren't formal qualifications on their own.

Need to probably some foundation knowledge on the platform but being certified in at least one can open doors.

Hi @YoussefB9120071

It depends on job opening. Recently seeing job opening in India where they mention CSA must to have or CSA/CAD/ one cis cert good to have. Mainline certification and micro certifications are recognized and considered usually but to achieve those certs it recommended to undergo ServiceNow courses related to it.

Here is the article i wrote for CSA/CAD certification tips along with links, you can go through it if you have time

At least In India, Company valued the people who has ServiceNow certification  with real knowledge on servicenow Ecosystem (Not those people who has certification but not having any knowledge 😀 )

For Job Market - when Interviewer takes interview , apart from candidate's completed mainline certification, they check the candidate knowledge  (mainly hands-on). If you have, you are .preferred candidate for selection.

Hi @YoussefB9120071

Being a ServiceNow trainer and a BPC, I’m happy to share my thoughts.

Certifications hold a very important place in today’s ecosystem. When a resource is certified, it helps organizations win projects and deploy certified professionals on specialized engagements. However, the real question is how many certifications a person should pursue.

From my training experience, I always recommend gaining hands-on experience first and then going for certifications. Certifications give you confidence, but without practical experience, they can be challenging and may not be very effective in interviews.

It can also feel ironic that organizations often look for certified professionals even at the fresher level. In my view, starting with CSA or CAD is a good way to enter the market, and the rest should come with experience.

More than that

  1. Spend at least 1–2 hours daily on the ServiceNow Community. Observe the kinds of technical questions being asked and how experienced members respond. You’ll learn a lot passively this way—and I highly encourage you to start answering questions as well. Explaining concepts to others will improve your technical thinking and deepen your understanding.
