CIS-VR requires now CIS-FD! be aware

Hi all,

Please be aware that the CIS-VR (Vulnerability Response) certification exam now requires candidates to hold the CIS-FD (Foundational Data) certification as a prerequisite.

 

I was preparing for the CIS-VR exam and purchased the voucher during the recent transition to Pearson VUE, only to discover at the last moment that I now also need to purchase and pass the separate CIS-FD exam first!! ouch!

 

This is quite frustrating, especially as neither the ServiceNow Learning Portal/University nor the current CIS-VR certification path page warns candidates about this new requirement.

 

I’m posting this here to alert anyone who is currently preparing for or planning to prepare for the CIS-VR exam, so you don’t get the same unpleasant surprise, especially if you need to plan/procure finances to cover these exams!

CIS-FD is required even for CIS-ITSM as well.
