Warning to anyone booking a ServiceNow exam, the booking system will happily let you book a slot you cannot possibly recover from, and support will not help you.
I'm posting this as both a heads-up and a genuine question, has anyone else had this experience? Because I cannot possibly be the only one, and if this is a pattern it deserves attention.
I went to book one of the exams. I mistakenly confirmed a slot that started 5 minutes later instead of the following day. ServiceNow/Pearson VUE's own reschedule policy requires 24 hours notice, so from the moment I clicked confirm, the appointment was locked. Unrecoverable. Not because I no-showed. Not because I forgot. Because the booking flow itself allowed a state that its own rules made impossible to fix.
No warning at time of booking. No confirmation dialog saying "this slot is inside the reschedule window, you will not be able to change it." Nothing. Just a confirmed booking that was already dead on arrival.
I Opened a case. Three responses so far, all from the same agent, all copy-paste versions of the standard no-show / retake-fee policy. Every time I've asked for escalation to a supervisor or the Certification team, or for the formal complaints process, those requests have been ignored and I've received another restatement of the same policy.
Would really like to hear from anyone who's been in the same spot, whether it was resolved or not. If this is a common pattern, it should be visible.
