CSA Exam Prep - FOR REAL

I just took the CSA Exam and FAILED.

I took the on Demand training course.  I spent weeks reviewing ALL the material offered in the course & felt pretty comfortable.  I also utilized the free Dev instance to gain experience moving around the platform.

Imagine my surprise when I took the test, and one Q/A after another was like a foreign language.  There were maybe only a handful of questions which were covered in my training.  What is up w/ that?

The online prep resources give no indication of what is really on the test.  I've seen the flash cards, and sample questions, and none of them relate to the actual exam questions.

So, my question is - where can we REALLY go to find relevant material/study guides which is covered in the exam?

Thank you

Hi Jennifer,

Sorry to hear you failed the exam. Obviously results will vary per person as we truly don't know your exposure to ServiceNow or really anyone else. You can say 4 years, but what does that really tell us? Outside of that, what is the control variable in all of this is? ServiceNow. They are saying ServiceNow Fundamentals, mixed with the ServiceNow CSA Blueprint document (which breaks down the categories of questions you'll be asked) and hands-on use of the platform, mixed with other suggested courses that ServiceNow has stated within the ServiceNow Fundamentals syllabus...those are what will help you succeed.

You mentioned that you took several practice tests. Where did you get those practice tests?

I had the same experience.  The questions had little to do with the training either the fundamentals or the advanced admin training and all the online quiz samples, I even paid for one from Udemy, were next to useless.  I'd been administering an environment for a few year and even doing light development and still, as you stated, the questions might well have been in a foreign language.

Let's just say that ServiceNow has refreshed the exam styling - use case driven questions combined with even more options to choose from. You wont get the typical old school type questions found in dumps on the web. That's it. No exam structure change - the blueprint is what it is and shared to public.

FOCUS on the official pre exam training course content, exam blueprint and invest efforts with PDI sessions to get depth understanding of concept that you learnt in the first place.

@JoAnnG I have done ALL THE ABOVE… and still failed the exam 3 straight times AND now I apparently can never sit for the exam again ???? I don’t want the same thing to happen to you. The first two times I took the exam I recognized a few questions from studying. My last two attempts NOTHING WAS REMOTELY RELATED TO THE STUDAY MATERIAL. I also took the On-Demand course, but it did not prepare me for the exam at all. @SERVICENOW is there anyway I can sit for thr exam a 5th, 6th or 7th times?!!!! I really want the pass this exam. Please advise, THANK YOU! -J
