CSA Exam Retake - In Person or Online

Hello,

I am studying to take the CSA exam. I am aware that there are 4 attempts at re-taking the exam if you fail.

If I take the first exam online and I fail, can I opt to re-take my exam in person?

Or, am I only allowed to re-take the exam again in the same format I initially registered for?

I read through this article prior to posting this question. Unfortunately, it did not answer my exact question regarding retakes of the exam.
