Hello SN Community -

Just wanted to understand the course difference as I see the duration of these courses are different. For CIS-RC certification which is recommended? While I understand there are more courses on IRM Fundamentals, Audit, RCIM and Classis Risk Assessments.

Little concerned since the length of the courses are different or am I missing anything here? Appreciate your help on this.

@sibayanchak GRC: Integrated Risk Management (IRM) Implementation On Demand is part of GRC: Integrated Risk Management (IRM) Implementation Course which is one of the required modules and it is actually the one that gives CIS-RC voucher. So you are right on path.

Coming to the two variants (see snapshots attached), the Vancouver version also has the labs included as part of it and hence the long duration. Again Each section has been re-organized and split into different sections. For example Policy and Compliance has just 4 sub sections on the newer Xanadu version while Vancouver has like 19 sub-sections including the lab exercises.

Both of them would give you the voucher needed for the CIS-RC exam. Considering there is Simulator as well in the Path/Journey I would recommend going with the latest one Xanadu (3.5 hours one) and complete the Simulator module. And it would also help you keep up with latest content additions. Its your choice. You can check the syllabus sections underneath both the paths.

I haven't got the time to do it myself and it has been pending quite some time on my radar. But per my experience go with the greener approach. Train along with making notes at your own pace, master the lab exercises/simulator and then use any sample exams to test yourself and make sure that you are validating the answers. Don't rely on any external sources as most of the time they would have at least 30-40%  which would only complicate your exam preparation.

Hi @sibayanchak

If your goal is CIS-RC certification, stick to the courses outlined here:

Hello @Simon Hendery  Thanks for your response, let me try to explain my question here : There are two courses (IRM Implementation), which one to ideally go for ? While I am aware of the outlined courses but this question is applicable to IRM Implementation course ONLY. Thank you.
