I am a finance graduate looking to start my own startup. Therefore I want to get some training and certification in ServiceNow to eventually get a job in the tech industry and learn more about coding, networking, and cloud computing.

Depending on which course you wan to do the answer may differ but considering you want to do CSA which is mostly the first certificate for most ServiceNow developers
1) Now there are various ways to prepare for a exam. there are 100's of dumps available in internet but the best way is to explore the instance yourself as you are just not preparing for certificate but for your future as well which will help you to work in ServiceNow. Also almost all certificate have a course which you have to complete before the main exam so if you do it properly you will pass the exam.
2) there are surely benefits as it helps you during interviews and a lot of companies do make certificates mandatory for interviews. But also remember having certificates is is not really the reflection of your knowledge as there are 100's of people with a certificate having much more expertise that people with various certificate.

4) There is not much requirement you enroll in the certification, pay for the course complete the prerequiste courses and get the coupon.
