How to Pass Your ServiceNow Mainline Exams

Have a clear understanding of the exam scope and content to be assessed
I always believe in using the exam blueprint as a starting point to guide and assist me in knowing what content to study, its like my roadmap to success.

On the exam blue print ServiceNow sometimes lists recommended and additional training. I always try and do the additional training as well, as this really helps with thoroughly understanding the concepts. 

2. Get as much Hands-On practice as possible

Remember when writing a ServiceNow exam, ServiceNow is not testing how well you know the theory, but they are testing how well you know your way around the platform and its capabilities as well. Make use of the ServiceNow PDI and LABS provided on the various courses.

3. Complete Micro-certificates

Competing these Micro-certificates will give you good exposure to how ServiceNow exam questions are asked and also add to your Hands-On practice.

5. Read and familiarize yourself with the ServiceNow Product Documentation

I know time is of the essence, but I often take additional time to also read over the ServiceNow documentation relating to the specific content that I will be writing an exam on. Most times we overlook this, but in my own experience I found a lot of the exam questions are directly from the Product Documentation.

Take the time to read and learn this content.

6. Make use of the Developer portal training

Prior to the ServiceNow University this was one of the platforms used by developers to become familiar with ServiceNow. However, ServiceNow has enhanced the learning experience and the ServiceNow University is the primary platform for all ServiceNow learning. However, I personally still find the developer portal very handy if I need to quickly recap on a concept. The developer portal also has learning paths if you

do not have access to certain training material on the ServiceNow University portal.

7. Take Mock Exams with caution

There are a lot of free and paid mock exams available online. However, a lot of these mock exams are misleading with incorrect answers – which can confuse you. My advise is whenever you do take a mock exam make sure that the answer/answers align with ServiceNow training and documentation.
