I am Philip Scherry (Phil) out of Denver, CO (Arvada to be exact). I work for New River Systems, which is a ServiceNow Partner for the DOD.
My role title is Technical Lead, but I also fill the role of Architect, Scrum Master, and Project Manager.
I have been on the ServiceNow platform for almost 11 years and have used most of the platform: CMDB Manager, both SAM & HAM implementations, migration from Workflow to Flow, and ITBM owner.
I am attending this class to learn the latest and also get the last step for my CIS - ITSM certification. In all my time I haven't gotten many of the certifications that I probably should have.

Hi @David Banghart -
Q: Can you have several leaf nodes for a given top level node?
It would be helpful to demo one of the Portfolios we already have in our lab instead of using HHD
A: You can absolutely have more than one taxonomy leaf node in a Service Portfolio. Any node that does not have a child node is a taxonomy leaf node. That is a great suggestion for improving the graphic on page 73 of your eBook and for future demos in this class.

Another great use of Catalog UI policies is to make additional variable questions appear depending on what is previously selected. This has been very useful in our university when requests have different requirements depending on several variables

Q: Re: cart layout editing - can you display a different price the end user and have a separate price on the backend in fulfillment?
A: My initial thought is that this might need to be a custom field on the catalog item record form. Depending on the use case and what you are specifically trying to achieve, you may also consider automatically adding a price to Short description or Description field of a fulfillment task via Flow Designer.
