Domain Separation Implementation Course

Domain separation allows you to separate data, processes, and administrative tasks into logical groupings called domains. You can then control aspects in each domain, including which users can see and access the data.  Domain Separation Implementation provides you with the knowledge required to develop and employ your skills as a ServiceNow System Administrator within a multi-tenant enabled instance.

Upon completing this course, you will be able to describe key concepts and terms associated with multi-tenancy in ServiceNow and make informed choices regarding domain separation architecture and design to maximize scalability and maintainability. You will be able to design effective domain hierarchies to achieve business goals and processes in ServiceNow to work within a multi-tenant environment. Additionally, you will learn how to import and manage data while maintaining security across domains, explore levels of domain support within ServiceNow applications, and automate repeatable customer on-boarding processes with data-driven workflows.

Service Provider Essentials Path

The Service Provider Essentials path provides the required training to become a proficient Service Provider by engaging you in several types of training options to learn and demonstrate your skills for Domain Separation basics, configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting. The completion of this learning path indicates that you have the skills and essential knowledge to lead and contribute to the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of the ServiceNow Domain Separation application. Special outcomes include mastering the setup, configuration, and usage of the ServiceNow Domain Separation application.

In addition to the Domain Separation Implementation course described above the Service Provider Essentials path is also comprised of the following courses.

Domain Separation Basics where you will get an overview of Domain Separation, covering: Managed Service Providers - MSP, multitenancy, data separation, process separation, process overrides, domain hierarchies, and relationships, domain containership, domain visibility, and types of domains such as global and default domains.

Domain Separation Configuration will give you a better understanding of configuring Domain Separation.  You will learn how a ServiceNow instance is configured to allow for domain separation, and how the customer configures domain separation in their instance.

Domain Separation Implementation Simulator where you can use what you have learned in the Domain Separation Implementation course in a simulated environment. This simulator allows you to practice implementing real-world tasks like those you can expect to do as a domain administrator. This simulator guides you along and provides feedback and recommendations as you complete each task.

Domain Separation Troubleshooting teaches you the techniques and tools used to troubleshoot domain separation issues, such as the Domain log, SQL Debug log, Slow Queries table, Domain validation, and alerts, other domain-related tables, system properties, scripts, and more.
