The course starts with an introduction to Software Asset Management, takes you through trustworthy data, practical management, operational integration, strategic conformance, and reporting and analytics. You will master the setup, configuration, and usage of the ServiceNow® Software Asset Management Professional application. This course will teach you how to manage software licenses (models, entitlements, and metrics) and control the cost of purchasing and managing software assets. You will also learn how to manage the software asset lifecycle from planning to disposal. You’ll learn about software discovery and normalization, reconciling and achieving software compliance, and controlling software usage and reclamation. The course also covers improving IT software asset services to end-users and creating standards and processes for managing software assets.
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to: Generate standards and processes for managing software assets; Monitor software usage and reclamation to control the costs of purchasing and managing software assets; Plan and execute software compliance strategies to achieve positive audit outcomes; and Outline the software asset lifecycle from planning to disposal.
