The ServiceNow training and certification team is excited to announce our first multi-course path created by experts from the ServiceNow Community. In the newly released path, Localization Expert Series, you will learn how to successfully prepare for and implement ServiceNow localization projects from the experts.
ServiceNow globalization experts designed this learning path based on experience gained localizing thousands of end-to-end processes. By leveraging their insight, platform owners, developers, and implementers will be confident in not just what buttons to press but also the logistical considerations when languages other than English are in play.
For example, a natively non-English customer has very different needs than a typical multi-national customer. A customer undertaking a Phase1 business transformation might not be familiar with the concepts for a multi-lingual implementation. A customer migrating from another tooling solution with other languages in play might expect to go live from day one with other languages.
This learning path will help ensure the right questions are asked at the right time to ensure localization project success. This 3 hour, on demand path is comprised of four courses, ServiceNow Localization Fundamentals, Localization Journey, Localize a Service Portal, and Add a Self-Localized Language.
Keep reading to hear from the experts why they created this content.
Coming from an Implementation background previously and speaking with customers over the past year, it became quite apparent that we needed to have some fairly thorough real-world information on not just explaining what buttons to press but also what are the logistical considerations to take when languages other than English are in play.
For example, a natively non-English customer has very different needs from a typical multi-national customer. A Customer who’s undertaking a business transformation as part of their Phase1 might have never been exposed to the concepts for a multi-lingual implementation vs a Customer who’s migrating from another tooling solution who did have other languages in play with an expectation that they will go live from day1 with other languages.
So, in the first version of this dedicated learning path, we wanted to bring up the level of understanding to a new baseline. Taking into account different stakeholders (Platform owners, Developers, Consultants, etc.) walking them through the high-level platform considerations, the architectural considerations, the process considerations and implications for design, the manageability considerations (with how it fits within their dev cycles), the linguistical considerations (because UX isn’t just for English) and ensure that they ask themselves the right questions at the right time.)
Over time the course will be refreshed, updated, and quite likely expanded with more modules as we review feedback from Customers and Partners, however, at this stage the base level of detail should be a significant improvement from what there was before.
To accompany the path, we also have a dedicated CSC page here, coupled with a dedicated customer Forum here.
