As you may know, ServiceNow has started to offer some of their certification training programs on demand and at no cost. Starting on 10 July 2020, these on demand courses will include the option to purchase a certification voucher to complete the certification process.

New Certification Exam Pricing

Certification	Price
Non-Implementation Specialist Certifications	$300* USD
Implementation Specialist Certifications	$450* USD
Master Architect Certification Program	$15,000 USD
Exam re-takes	$100 USD
Certification re-entry exam (if expired)	Full Cost

*Certification voucher is included in the instructor-led course fees.

Partner discounts apply. Certified Administrator exam vouchers are available at no charge to individuals from ServiceNow partner organizations upon successful completion of the on-demand course. In accordance with our policy, learners must take required courses before attempting a certification.
Micro-certifications and Suite certifications remain free of charge.

Certification Maintenance

Starting with the Paris release, certified individuals will need to pay an annual fee to complete the bi-annual maintenance exams. This is a single fee per user per year, no matter how many maintenance exams that user needs to complete.

Certification Maintenance	Price
Annual Maintenance Fee	$200

The Annual Maintenance Fee program will begin with Paris and be charged yearly with the ServiceNow fall release.
Learners who have been in the program for more than one year will be charged. Date entered the program = date passed first mainline exam.
The Fee covers the cost of the two release Delta Maintenance Exams and any Delta Maintenance Exam retakes in a year for all mainline certifications an individual holds.

Free Voucher for Certified System Administrator Exam

The promotional offer of a FREE voucher for the Certified System Administrator exam is coming to an end on Friday, July 10, 2020, for non-partners. Please be sure to take advantage of this offer by completing the On Demand ServiceNow Fundamentals course on or before July 10^th.

Are there plans to revamp the Delta certifications? Since London, the tests have been around 10 questions or so which mainly focus on very easily searchable questions from the version release notes. Are the Delta exams going to be migrated into simulations?

Does anyone know how one receives the "free voucher" for the OnDemand course? Does it arrive via email to the email/profile used during the course? I just finished the course and I would like to take the exam.

I got mine both via email and added to my account in Now Learning, make sure you complete the optional last step which is another hour or two. A few of my peers had missed that and were wondering why they hadn't received the vouchers yet.

ServiceNow courses became really better, comparing five years ago.

But 200$ per year for developers is really too much, especially for non-US. I am an independent developer and must pay this fee by myself. So I'm really thinking of not to extend my certifications. In the future, if my employer needs this, I will pass all my certifications again.

I believe that ServiceNow will reconsider this decision.

Is there a list or a link of the On Demand courses that are available or maybe a timeline of what content will be available? I see no additional changes to content on Now Learning at this time. Also, will this be formally communicated to Partners? A blog post on the the Community that deals with pricing and maintenance costs needs more exposure.

I can’t find anywhere what the cost changed to... The updated copy of the “ServiceNow Certified System Administrator Exam Specification” indicates, that “upon completion, the candidate will be eligible to collect a voucher for the Certified System Administrator exam…”

I know it used to be $300, but I'm not sure if its changed with the on-demand course offering. The above document indicates retakes are $100 and the annual maintenance fee program is $200, but no initial cost information.

Could you point me to the cost details for CSA?

You could consider the value that the certification provides your credentials... Unfortunately there is a cost associated with proctoring the initial exam and the delta exams, which is the nature of the fees.

I will say compared to the costs of the ITIL exams, which are also proctored at an expense, it is a comparable cost.
