Being new to consulting, one takeaway for me is the process and discussion around sprints. Working in fast paced environments, having a sprint delivers a fixed amount of time to collaborate with multiple teams throughout different phases of development. Goals are set and each goal may have multiple tasks. The sprint looks to execute on tracking progress and potential roadblocks that may occurs in the project. All work is able to be reviewed and marked as completed once done and leaves for opportunities for what worked, what needs improvement, and to further define future best practices.

1. Establish a governance framework to ensure consistent decision-making, manage changes, and maintain alignment with business goals.
2. Avoid/minimize customization by leaning into out-of-the-box (OOTB) functionalities as much as possible.
3. Implement robust change management processes to handle updates and modifications systematically. This a day one requirement.

If you remove fields from the form, it can break the behaviour big time!

Particularly removing the Consumer field from the Configurable workspace (today's FSM/CSM) broke the Validate user feature in the sidebar.
ALWAYS HIDE OOTB FIELD, NEVER REMOVE THEM FROM THE FORM.

From the ServiceNow Platform Implementation On Demand course, I learned the importance of following a structured and phased approach for a successful ServiceNow implementation. It’s crucial to properly plan, define scope, and understand key steps like data migration, testing, and go-live preparation.

The course provided valuable insights into best practices and common pitfalls to avoid, as well as practical examples that help connect theory to real-life scenarios.

Overall, I found it very useful and it gave me more confidence to participate in ServiceNow projects and implementations.

Thanks to the ServiceNow team for this great learning opportunity!
