Hi everyone.
Posting the following issue I came across as it may help someone else who is taking this course.
On Task 05, the validation kept failing. After much head scratching and triple checking, I discovered that the issue was a missing full stop.
On the Change Request Form, please ensure that there is a full stop in the Short description field at the end of the text. In the Task details it is listed as "Cycled server, EXCH-SD-05, per change request" It should be "Cycled server, EXCH-SD-05, per change request."
The Default Simulator Task item really helped me discover this issue. I would recommend using this if anyone needs any help with Tasks on their courses. Accessed using this link: https://learning.servicenow.com/lxp/en?id=sc_cat_item&sys_id=f26a485287771690417c404e0ebb353e&syspar...

That’s really helpful, thanks for sharing your findings. What you’ve described is a classic example of very strict validation in the ServiceNow simulator tasks....Surely it will help others..

Hi @soahmed
When you open the incident record in ServiceNow, there’s a field called Configuration item (CI).
- Right now, that CI is set to Email.
- You need to change that value to the specific server EXCH-SD-05 (because the issue is happening on that server).
- After updating the CI field, click Save to store the change.
This makes sure the incident is correctly linked to the actual server that is causing the problem, rather than just the general Email service.

The Configuration item was already updated. That was not the issue. I did resolve it by including a full stop at the end of the Short Description on the Change Request Form. That was the only issue.
