Hi everyone,
With ServiceNow transitioning its certification exam platform from Webassessor to Pearson VUE starting November 18, I have a question regarding email account linkage and credential ownership.
Previously with Webassessor, it was possible to register using a personal email and link it to your ServiceNow University account (which might be tied to a work email). This setup ensured that certifications remained accessible to the individual even after leaving their employer.
Will Pearson VUE offer a similar provision? Specifically:
- Can I register for exams using my personal email on Pearson VUE?
- Will the credentials earned be linked to my personal ServiceNow University account, ensuring I retain access regardless of my employment status?
I want to make sure my certifications remain tied to me personally and not to a company email I might lose access to in the future.
Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Hi @jfalade,
your account and everything related to it will be moved automatically:
Will I need to create an account in Pearson VUE? | No, you do not need to create a separate Pearson VUE account. Starting November 18, you will access exams directly through your ServiceNow University (SNU) account. The system is set up with secure Single Sign-On (SSO), so Pearson VUE will connect automatically and seamlessly with SNU. |
What is the vendor migration period and what does it mean? | The vendor migration period runs from November 3 to November 17, 2025. During this time:
After November 17, all exam registrations and scheduling will take place on the new platform. Your certification records and exam history will transfer automatically, so no action is required on your part. |
