Hello,  I am taking the Workflow Studio Fundamentals course in SN Unvisersity.  I got to section 8 of 9,  Playbooks.  When I click on Incident Response Demo Playbook to open it, it is read only.  I cannot edit it.

Hi @tomsinski,

Its read only because of Protection policy  applies in ServiceNow 

application files—including components of Playbooks (such as Playbook Experiences, Activity Definitions, and underlying Script Includes)—read-only.

I ran into that same exact problem. It is not you. My resolution: I enrolled in the Playbook Essentials on-demand course and it was so worth it. Additionally, there was a micro-certification available after the course. The on-demand course really gave me the opportunity to have a hands-on experience with Playbooks.
