Updated Q4 2016 Quarterly Patching Targets

As part of our ongoing effort to keep your instances on the latest patch versions for security, vulnerability and performance, ServiceNow has deemed it necessary to change the Q4 2016 Geneva and Helsinki patch targets. Please note that patching for the Fuji family is not affected.

* For Helsinki, the new Q4 patch target is Helsinki Patch 3 Hot Fix 7 (previously, it was Helsinki Patch 3 Hot Fix 2). On your patching dates, if your instances are on Helsinki, they must be on Patch 3 Hot Fix 7 or above, or they will be patched to that level. Please note that the difference between the old target and new target is the addition of one fix only. Details can be found in the release notes (KB0597845).

* For Geneva, the new Q4 patch target is Geneva Patch 8 Hot Fix 1 (previously, it was Geneva Patch 8). On your patching dates, if your instances are on Geneva, they must be on Patch 8 Hot Fix 1 or above, or they will be patched to that level. Please note that the difference between the old target and new target is the addition of one fix only. For more information, see the release notes (KB0597843).

*Targets are subject to change prior to patching. Target versions for a quarter change only if absolutely necessary.

**Fuji will become unsupported with the upcoming release of Istanbul. Please make plans to move from Fuji to a higher release family.
