Help Needed: Glide Operation on Tables Validation Failing – Certification Blocker for Yokohama Upgr

Hi Community,

We're currently facing a critical issue while preparing to resubmit a previously certified application for certification after upgrading it to the Yokohama release.

As part of the certification checklist, we ran the App Self-Test Tool and encountered the following validation error:

Glide operations on Tables – Failure due to use of GlideRecord

Based on the documentation and validation feedback, we updated our code by replacing GlideRecord with GlideRecordSecure to comply with platform security standards.

However, during integration testing, we ran into issues where record insertion failed on certain OOB (Out-of-Box) tables, even after assigning appropriate roles. Since modifying roles or configurations on OOB tables is not recommended, we had no choice but to revert some changes and continue using GlideRecord in specific cases to ensure functionality.

Now, the Self-Test Tool still flags this as a failure, and we are concerned that this may block the certification submission again.

We would really appreciate guidance on the following:

  1. In cases where GlideRecordSecure causes functionality issues due to platform constraints, is there an accepted best practice or exception process for using GlideRecord?

  2. Can we provide a justification in the Review Notes for these specific cases to help pass certification?

  3. Is there any formal waiver or documentation that can be submitted to the App Certification team to address this situation?

This issue has been a blocker for over two months, and we are under pressure as our customers are being impacted by the delay.

Any help or official guidance would be greatly appreciated. If needed, we are also open to setting up a Zoom call to walk through the details.

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
Pavan Kumar Kunapu
