Help Text Placement for Zurich Hot Patch 4

AdrianR3
Tera Contributor

Issue: After Zurich Hot Patch 4, help text for form fields is displayed beside the question label instead of below the input field. This layout can confuse users and does not follow standard UI guidelines.

Impact: Misaligned help text reduces clarity

Expected Behavior: Help text should appear directly below the question or as a tooltip, not in a separate floating box beside the label.

Yep, looks like they just updated that on 12/31/2025.

Yeah, they did but any idea when patch 5 is actually available?

Adrian,

Your image is a bit fuzzy, and I am having some issues making out the punctuation for the line of code in step 4.  Would you find posting a larger image of that, or copy/pasting that line of code in plain text here?

Note that I tried logging in and searching for the PRB referenced, but it does not appear to be open to other users.

Thanks

Try clicking on the image - it seems to be readable to me.

Just for convenience, here is the text:

This is a previously documented issue, reported as PRB1970979. This PRB currently has a fix target of the upcoming Australia version of the platform.

As a workaround for now, you can conduct the following in your affected instances to resolve the issue:

  1. Open the Theme (sp_theme) record of the Portal you are having issues with and create a new CSS Include by selecting “New” in the “CSS Includes” related list

  2. Name the new record whatever you’d like and ensure that the “Source” field is set to “Style Sheet”

  3. In the “Style Sheet” field select the magnifying glass then select “New” to create a new Style sheet.

  4. Again name the style sheet whatever you’d like and enter the following lines in the “CSS” field:
    .field-label-question {display:inline-block;}

  5. Once you save the style sheet make sure it is associated to your CSS Include record.

NOTE: This PRB currently has a fix target of the upcoming Australia version of the platform.

OK, thanks for the clarification.  I see what you are saying now.  I thought it was a pasted image, but I can see it clearly when I click on it and expand it.

It looks like I guessed right, and actually typed in the code correctly, but it still does not appear to be working for me.  It made no difference.

I see someone else reporting it wasn't working for them either.  Maybe I will open a HI Ticket to try to get someone to look at our instance to determine what is going on.
