yesterday
Hi everyone,
I’ve completed the ITSM module and Integration course, and I hold the following certifications:
CSA (Certified System Administrator)
CAD (Certified Application Developer)
CIS-ITSM (Certified Implementation Specialist – ITSM)
I’m now looking to learn a new ServiceNow module that can strengthen my profile and increase my chances of getting recruited.
Could you please suggest which module or specialization (like HRSD, ITOM, ITAM, SecOps, or Gen AIetc.) would be most valuable to learn next, considering current industry demand?
Thanks in advance for your guidance! 🙏

Hello @SoudarapuN , the industry demands vary across many modules but some of these that you mentioned are truly in high demand.
Firstly, I would like to advise you to read the basics about the modules that you gave and understand what each do, or maybe you can watch videos to understand the process involved. After this, you can move forward with the one you are most interested in or would like to learn, all of them are good modules.
Secondly, I would say that GenAI would be something that you should mandatorily adapt with and get some hands-on. You may take any of the other modules but always keep GenAI side-by-side, it is the future and is facing rapid growth.
Also, if you have some experience in ServiceNow and would like to get into challenging certification you can think of Risk and Compliance.
If you find my answer helpful, please hit the thumbs-up button and accept it as the solution. By referring to this solution in the future, it will be helpful for other people as well.

@SoudarapuN I agree here with @soumyadeep10 that the genAI capabilities are demanded more and more every day.
So you can go to SN university and take any class regarding to the Now Assist but due to its complexity and operational costs, it's not available to play with it on your PDI where you can try most of the things but not Now Assist...
Thus, it would be up to your decision what makes more sense to you. Taking classes for Now Assist where you can only get theoretical knowledge but no practical experience. Or any other module where you have chance to run simulator or develop own apps in PDI.
Perhaps some reasonable balance between these two approaches could work as well...

Hi @SoudarapuN,
having CSA, CAD and CIS ITSM in your learning portfolio is very good start!
And I believe it gave you some understanding on how ServiceNow works or what it offers. However there is no universal recommendation where to go next.. imagine, I will recommend you to go with HRSD but there will be job opportunities for SecOps and vice versa.
Perhaps what could make sense for you would be focus more on the ROLE rather than the module.. if you know ITSM, it will be easier (not easy but easier) to understand CSM (which is kind of ITSM for external users :)) and so on.
Check these predefined journey and path, that's what ServiceNow recommends to take:
Scroll to select your Career Journeys:
- System Admin
- App Developer
- Platform Owner
- Implementer
- Technical Project Manager
- Business Process Analyst
- Support Specialist
Select your ServiceNow credentials:
- App Specialist
- Architect
- Developer
- Implementer
- Pre-sales Expert
- Sales Expert
- System Admin
You can also combine between all these, it can guide you what makes sense to continue.
Please, let me know what do you think about what I shared. Was it helpful? Does it make sense to recommend it to somebody in your situation? Any feedback is welcome.
Good luck!
