Looking for suggestions on next ServiceNow module to learn after completing ITSM and certifications

Hi everyone,

I’ve completed the ITSM module and Integration course, and I hold the following certifications:

• CSA (Certified System Administrator)

• CAD (Certified Application Developer)

• CIS-ITSM (Certified Implementation Specialist – ITSM)

I’m now looking to learn a new ServiceNow module that can strengthen my profile and increase my chances of getting recruited.

Could you please suggest which module or specialization (like HRSD, ITOM, ITAM, SecOps, or Gen AIetc.) would be most valuable to learn next, considering current industry demand?

@SoudarapuN there's no need to hurry. Some of the journeys are overlapping and I started some months ago and continue when I find some extra time or when I want to learn something in particular.

You can also review it retrospectively even after completion.

ITOM is quite technical, so my suggestion before diving into ITOM is to first go through the micro-certifications:

• CMDB

• CSDM

These are foundational for ITOM, especially for Discovery.

For HRSD, you can refer to Now Learning — all on-demand courses are free there. I also have a playlist on HRSD on my channel, which you can refer to as well.

As a ServiceNow trainer, I’m happy to share my thoughts. Since you’ve already completed CSA, CAD, and ITSM, I wouldn’t recommend jumping into another certification immediately. Instead, I suggest focusing on learning the next module thoroughly. Once you gain solid hands-on experience, then consider going for the certification.

Currently, in the market, GRC and ITAM are in high demand — both are excellent options to pursue. However, it also depends on what certifications your organization is looking for. That said, my recommendation would be to go for either ITAM or GRC first.
