PDI dev225927 stuck in “Activating Plugin” for over 24 hours – Event Management

Hello,

My Personal Developer Instance (PDI), dev225927, has been stuck in the “Activating Plugin” status for over 24 hours.

Plugin requested:
- Event Management
- Activation option: Activate with demo data

The instance is online, but the Developer Site still shows “Activating Plugin” and no completion email has been received.

Could you please check the plugin activation request or advise how to recover the instance without resetting it?

Thank you.

Hi  @duyang547 ,

I am also facing the same issue. My PDI has been stuck in the "Activating Plugin" state from 4 days.

Plugin Requested: ServiceNow IntegrationHub Professional Pack Installer

If you found a solution or received any update from the ServiceNow team, please let me know.

Thank you.

Hi @duyang547

1)Often, the plugin is actually installed on the instance database, but the Developer Portal status fails to update.

  • Log into your PDI.
  • Navigate to the System Diagnostics > Progress Workers module in the application navigator, or search for sys_progress_worker.list.
  • Look for the active progress record for the Event Management plugin.
  • Open the record, set the State field to Cancelled (or Completed), and save.
  • Check your plugin lists to see if Event Management is now available.

2)If canceling the progress worker doesn't show the plugin, bypass the Developer Portal entirely.

  • Log in to your PDI.
  • Type sys_plugin.list in the Application Navigator.
  • Search for Event Management (or com.snc.event_management).
  • Open the record and click Activate/Repair if available

3)If the mutex lock is permanent and preventing other actions, you will need to wipe the instance.

  • Log into the ServiceNow Developer Site.
  • Go to your Profile or the Instance dropdown.
  • Select Action and click Reset and Wipe Instance
