Hello Community,
I am facing a critical issue with my Personal Developer Instance (PDI) and am requesting assistance, as I have a project deadline approaching quickly. I was using my instance just fine and then all of a sudden it logged me out and said "502 Bad Gateway". I have tried refreshing the instance as well as using different browsers. I really need help please.

Hi @MominB,
this happens to all of us once a while. There's nothing to prevent it from happening and neither nothing to remove it for good.
You just need to wait a few minutes, go get some water, stretch your legs and soon it's back ;))
If you get the 502 error, then check the instance status at your Developer Portal:
https://developer.servicenow.com/dev.do#!/manage-instance
And you will see that it will say it's refreshing and perhaps it might be offline for a short time.
This is because PDIs are for free and this is most likely a method how to save the operational costs.
TL;DR you gotta wait a few minutes and retry.

Hi @MominB
I've been using PDI without any issues since this morning, but I've noticed several posts in the community about PDI being offline. Here are some points to consider:
- There is no support available for PDI.
- If you can wait, let's wait a bit longer.
- You can release this instance and start a new one, but you will lose your previous data. To avoid losing update sets in the future, make sure to take regular backups of your PDI.
There have been 3-4 posts in the community today about PDI failures or unavailability. Based on the responses, you might need to wait 1-2 days and hopefully, the PDI will be back online.
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.

Hi @MominB ,
As you might know, there is no support available from ServiceNow in relation to PDIs, hence you're limited to two options:
- Wait, it should come online after some time
- Release your instance and request a fresh installation.
If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as the accepted solution and give a thumbs up.
Best regards
