Hi Team,
Our manager asked to do upgrade from Vancouver to Xanadu. we asked to create a plan for the upgrade activity, this was the first time we are performing the upgrade activity. what all parameters should we included over the plan document
-I know few things like upgrading the lower instances first and fixing the bugs followed by higher versions
-we have raise a hi support ticket for cloning followed by upgrade
what exactly we have to do after upgrade ? apart from testing the custom functionalities and custom applications, what specific works that needs to be done after the upgrade
In short we need the complete plan detail parameters for upgrade and the activities that we do in between upgrade and testing the custom functionalities

We recently upgrade our client instance to DC release. Here is my view :
what all parameters should we included over the plan document
-I know few things like upgrading the lower instances first and fixing the bugs followed by higher versions

Atul: Please take back up of email properties/ MID Server users / email account / if any ATF test steps.
what exactly we have to do after upgrade ? apart from testing the custom functionalities and custom applications, what specific works that needs to be done after the upgrade
Atul: After upgrade
- check the instance with stats.do
- Check Skip records
- Check all required menu/interfaces/forms looks okay ( high level)
- Check system properties / banner images / email properties / integration links.
- Check schedule jobs / reports / dashboard .
- Bring back all update set ( if any ) has been backed up before clone
- Check all plugins are update or not.
- Ask business to do a good testing manual or via ATF.
In short we need the complete plan detail parameters for upgrade and the activities that we do in between upgrade and testing the custom functionalities
