Hi All,

Our Dev and QA instance is upgraded to Xanadu release recently by service now. Our Prod instance is right now on Vancouver release and scheduled to be upgraded to Xanadu next month.

We miss to do clone on the Dev and QA.

We have a question to service now, As per service now recommendation what service now suggests should we bring back Dev and QA instance bring back to Vancouver release if yes then how to clone Dev or QA with prod or we should go ahead as per the schedule for prod upgrade.

HI @IshankA66204027

I think the question goes to SN only what is meaning of bring back, Has SN suggested getting a previous back up of prod and put on Dev in that case, your in-progress update set be gone or If I suggest, you did not encounter any issue in Dev/ QA after upgrade then go ahead with prod upgrade now and might be after 1 month, just clone dev ad QA from prod to synch the all 3.

@IshankA66204027 Since Dev and QA are already upgraded to Xanadu, you can run several tests to check if the upgrade made an impact on your existing implementation and customisations. If there is no major impact, you can choose to go with the scheduled Xanadu upgrade on the production, if you find major issues then you can address them on dev and qa capture the changes in an update set and apply this update set once your prod instance is upgraded to Xanadu. You can chose to clone your production instance on dev and qa once the prod is upgraded to Xanadu.

From a best practice standpoint, first dev and QA instance are upgraded to assess the impact of upgrade and later the prod instances is upgraded. You are already on right track in this regard.
