Conluence Integration with ServiceNow

I found two options to integrate the Confluence with ServiceNow using below methods:-

1. Exploring External Content Connectors

2. Integrating with Confluence Cloud with OAuth2.0

Which method will require licensing cost and which does not require cost among those methods

Hello @vidyajadhav

Unfortunately, both methods require licensing either through AI Search or Integration Hub/SAM Pro. There isn’t a completely free out-of-the-box integration for Confluence that bypasses these licensing models.

External Content Connectors

Yes, this method requires licensing. You need to install the External Content Connectors plugin from the ServiceNow Store, which typically requires entitlement to AI Search and may involve additional costs depending on your instance setup

Use Case: Ideal for organizations wanting to index Confluence content into ServiceNow’s AI-powered search experience.

Confluence Cloud Spoke

Yes, this method also requires licensing. Specifically, you need either:

  • Integration Hub Professional, or

  • Software Asset Management Professional licenses

Use Case: Best suited for managing Confluence user subscriptions, reclaiming licenses, and tracking usage via SAM.

I would also recommend speaking with your ServiceNow account manager for license cost part as it varies from all in every aspect.

If my response has helped you hit helpful button and if your concern is solved do mark my response as correct.
