Hi All,

 

Set Assignment Group in Incident automatically to different groups based on category & subcategory in virtual agent.

 

Please provide diagram

Certainly! To automatically set the Assignment Group in an incident based on the category and subcategory chosen by users in ServiceNow’s virtual agent, follow these steps:

  1. Configure Group Types for Assignment Groups:
    • Define group types using the Type field for assignment groups.
    • These group types help categorize assignment groups.
    • You can use them to filter assignment groups based on their type using a reference qualifier.
  2. Assign Group Types to Assignment Groups:
    • Navigate to User Administration > Groups.
    • Select the desired group and click the lock icon next to Type.
    • Use the lookup icon to select one or more group types.

By linking group types to assignment groups, you can automate assignment based on category and subcategory!
