how many priority levels come out of the box

Do you refer to incident priorities or? If yes, then 4. Critical, High, medium and low.

Hi @megan441 

According to the ServiceNow documentation, the number of priority levels that come out of the box can vary depending on the configuration and customization of the instance. By default, the Priority field in ServiceNow is read-only and must be set by selecting the Impact and Urgency values. The priority is calculated based on the Impact and Urgency values, and the system uses lookup rules to determine the priority level.

I know that it is calculated by the other two fields, but are there still only 1-4? I wondered if there were 5 OR if it could be configured to have 5.

There is 1-4 OOTB. You can create as many as you like.
