How to auto reolve Incident from Event Management system post receiving ok alert

We have an Event management system which received ok alert from our monitoring systems and we would like to auto resolve the Incidents whenever we receive the OK alert, however the assignee detail is mandatory.
What is the best practices to handle this, should the Event Management API user be given exception to resolve Incidents without assignee ? How does ITOM handles this scenario, can someone throw some light on this.
