Hello SNOW Developers,
We have a new requirement from the client. They want to restrict backend access for ITIL users. For instance, if an ITIL user, let's say "abc," attempts to log in to SNOW from the login.do URL using their backend password, the action should be blocked due to their ITIL access. Instead, they should be redirected to the Single Sign-On (SSO) page.
However, if upon login, the system detects that the user has an admin role, they should be granted access to SNOW from the backend.
I am seeking your expertise to implement this requirement. Please let me know if this is feasible. All of your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hi @Saurav Bhardwa2 ,
You can use the below Knowledge Article from ServiceNow & I believe this will work in your scenario.
Restrict ESS or non-role users from navigating to native UI by manipulating the URL
Please try it & let me know if it's working or else let me know where exactly you're facing issue so that I can help you.
Please mark it as "Accept as Solution" and "Helpful". if this helped you.
Thanks & Regards,
Madhan Somesh.

Do you have access to the contents of this article? It appears to have been locked by ServiceNow, but we are really looking to put into place the same functionality

Hi @AngusWIlliams ,
Previously the KB article is available & accessible for all, seems like ServiceNow had it restricted for some reason.
But no worries, the content present inside the KB article is discussed in the below article. Please go through with that it will definitely help your scenario.
Please mark it as "Accept as Solution" and "Helpful". if this helped you.
Thanks & Regards,
Madhan Somesh.
