Hi,
We are upgrading our instance.
For that, we are cloning prod instance to lower instances.
In this I have few questions, suggestions will be greatly appreciated
1.When cloning has done for previous upgrade, another person did the cloning
for that they have created targets.
Can I use the same targets for the cloning I am performing
2. In the targets, there are username and password. For what these will be used while cloning.
Thanks,
Ganesh

No @GaneshErike
It won;t work the same way for SSO enabled instances. Follow this KB Article by servicenow for SSO enabled instances clone.

Responses inline
1.When cloning has done for previous upgrade, another person did the cloning for that they have created targets.
Yes, you can use the same clone targets created during a previous cloning process, provided they are still valid and configured correctly.
2. In the targets, there are username and password. For what these will be used while cloning.
The username and password in the clone target configuration are used to authenticate and establish a secure connection between the source and target instances during the cloning process. These credentials ensure that only authorized users can initiate and complete the cloning activity. Typically, these credentials belong to an admin or service account with sufficient permissions to perform cloning operations

Hi Ankur,
Thankyou for your response.
Now we are using SSO login to login to Test instance.
Login through username and password is not working.
In this case, can we perform cloning for Test instance

it would require a local account, it's clearly mentioned in docs, point 6
Clone an instance with a SAML integration
Also check this link
