question related to reference list magnifying glass.

Hi All , My requirement was when user click on reference icon magnifying glass the list of record opens. In that the columns in the heading should set like mentioned in the task. but main thing is it should not change globally. i mean if same table was called in any reference field then in that field when user click on magnifying glass then it should display the default list layout. so is there any chance to do this?

As long as it stays OOB, you can. But you are opening it in a view, so you will need to assure that views are never altered. And that's not going to happen, I can tell you from experience.
