"Global Search" function not working properly for the Workspace

"Global Search" function not working properly – user directed to new browser tab (refer 'work space 2' screenshot) when enter something in the search and press enter (refer 'work space' screenshot) whereas a new tab within the workspace should shows the search results.

In 'work space' screenshot if you can see, there is one case in open which is PURC022582. So, if I'm searching for PURC0221354 in global search, that particular record should open within the workspace i.e. next to PURC022582. Instead, a new window is opening that too not showing the particular record.

If someone faced similar issue, please guide.
