Service Portal Dashboard - OOTB Widget Recommendation for Timeline/Kanban View

Hi Team,

I am working on a custom Service Portal dashboard and have the following requirement:

Display a "Request Progress Timeline" where  Job requests are grouped by their current state and displayed from left to right in the following order:

  • Draft
  • Audit Team Input Required
  • On Hold
  • Triage
  • In Progress
  • Under Review
  • Delivered
  • Cancelled

The expected UI is similar to a 8 column Kanban board/timeline where each state appears as a column and the related job records appear underneath that state. Users should ideally be able to click a job card and navigate to the corresponding record.

My questions are:

  1. Is there any OOTB Service Portal widget that can be configured to provide this type of timeline/Kanban-style layout?
  2. Has anyone implemented a similar requirement using widgets such as Simple List, Data Table, Icon Link, or any other OOTB widget?
  3. Would the recommended approach be:
    • Reusing and customizing an OOTB widget, or
    • Building a completely custom Service Portal widget using HTML/CSS/AngularJS?
  4. Are there any examples, best practices, or Service Portal components that can be leveraged for this type of dashboard visualization?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
