Virtual Agent and Contextual Search how does it work?

Hi all,

I'm trying to set up virtual agent and the topics Search Catalog Item and Search KB to only display the item/article if the search term is in the title of the catalog item / knowledge article. I figured that this would have been a quite common demand but I could not find anything similar on the forums. I've tried deep diving into contextual seach but I can't figure out how to make these configurations.

Any help is much appreciated!

Or can this be done via scripting inside the topic perhaps?

Hi Hannes,

Virtual Agent Topics can be created without using the Contextual Search also.

Contextual search is used to search the results based on the user input. There will be a topic block of Contextual search in virtual agent add the topic block and just try it.

If you are new to virtual agent . Please refer to @Mark Roethof articles .Below is the link

Hi Rajeev,

I am aware of that but I want to configure the Contextual Search inside of the topic to only return items/article if the search term is in the title of them. Currently it's returning items that are irrelevant but have the search term in the description.

Add contextual search topic block and add code according to it
