Roles are not populating correctly

anyone else having these issues?

 

Description: Roles were lost in Training instance over the weekend. When an Admin User attempts to add Admin roles to a user or add a user to a group with Admin role assigned, the roles/membership are not populating on the user's record.

Steps to reproduce:
In Training instance, add Admin User to user Akkarin Chirachaturaphak (KAC0026). Select save, user does not gain Admin roles

If the role contains the security admin role or any other role that is an elevated role then you can not add it unless you also elevate yourself.

Even as an admin user, you will need to elevate your role to security_admin to add users to a group that grants the admin role.
