I am keen to understand has anyone had experience using ServiceNow as a tool for Master Data Collection (we use SAP as our ERP)? We are currently using Service Now as a Service Management Tool to manage Master Data Maintenance requests & approval WF. However, the actual Data Collection is still maintained in an Excel format. So the business requestor would attach the Excel form to a Service Now Ticket then go through our workflow process to reach Master Data Team for execution.
I am considering if we can build the excel template into Service Now request page so the user doesn't have to attach the excel template anymore as excel inputs are prone to human errors. Once the data collection is done directly in SNOW, it will connect with our existing Data Approval WF process.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciate it!
