Using Update By Query in AI Spoke for updating AI Search External Content documents in index

I currently have working a subflow that ingests into an AI Search index from a data stream for external content.  Now I want to update some of the documents in the index and it looks like I should be able to using the Update By Query action in the AI Spoke in flow designer. However, I am not seeing any records being updated. Does anybody have an example of Update By Query working? Can Update By Query be used to update an index that is populated by external content? Not sure on your query, but there is a new product called "External Content Connectors" available on store that you may explore.

External Content Connectors only support Confluence Cloud and Microsoft SharePoint Online. I am ingesting metadata from a third-party API that isn't Confluence or SharePoint. What is not working is Update By Query for AI Search Spoke.
