Are you an Integration Admin/Developer?
Do you use Integration Hub Spokes to integrate ServiceNow with third party systems?
Before we dive into Spoke configuration and setup, let's talk about what a Spoke is.
Integration Hub Spokes allow you to connect to any system fast. They are simple to build and are composed of Action Inputs, Connection Details, and Action Outputs.
A Spoke is simply a scoped application that includes a logical grouping of related Flow Designer actions, sub-flows, and supporting application files to enable communication with third-party APIs or other external systems. Spokes are designed to quickly address key use cases with pre-built flow actions for multiple workflows. They can also be used as a guideline to extend, design, and build a custom Spoke as well as add additional functionality to existing Spokes.
Now, let's jump back to Spoke setup. Have you faced challenges in setting up a Spoke? Let's look at some resources that can help you setup a Spoke as you begin your integration journey with Integration Hub.
Product Documentation
For every spoke that is published we have a product documentation page dedicated on how to setup that particular spoke.
Setup Videos
You will find many of our spoke setup product documentation pages contains videos that will guide you on end to end spoke setup process.

And finally, Configuration Templates
Configuration Templates make your spoke setup so much easier!!
- Navigate to Workflow Studio -> Integrations -> Outbound and search for the spoke of interest.
- For every spoke there is a default connection & credential alias that is shipped and you should be configuring that first. Click on View details.
- Click configure to open the configuration templates, enter details and submit.
- You are DONE!
Bonus
If you want to connect multiple instances of a given third party system then Click on "Add Connection" and you can add child aliases to spoke, which you can choose to override the default alias either at a flow level or an action level. More details here.
Hope this helps in your spoke setup and overall integration journey.
Happy Integrating!
