Creating/Using Flows that don't require approval. But stage us "waiting for approval"

All,

I am not a developer and I'm trying either user OOB flow or build a simple flow that creates a req, ritm, and tasks. With no approvals needed. And I've created multiple flows, using Workflow Designer, that don't have an approval step. But stage is always stuck at Waiting for approval. Any guidance on how to get past this would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not familiar with 'Workflow Designer'.  Are you creating a flow using Flow Designer / Workflow Studio, or a workflow using Workflow Editor?  What are you doing to update the stage?  In the absence of setting any values, the RITM will get updated by some out of box Business Rules, but you can set your own Stage value.  In Workflow Editor, on an activity there is a Stage field where you can update the Stage that shows on the RITM.  On a flow, you can either hover between activities then click the Add a Stage button that appears, or use an Update Record action on the Trigger/Requested Item Record, then select the Stage field and a value.
