With the newest plugin they removed the triggers from the Bot Process form and state that the triggers are agnostic now but when I try to Start Process in Flow Designer the bot does not activate. Does anyone know how to trigger a bot process from Flow Designer?

  • Open the Flow Designer tool.
  • Create a new flow or open an existing flow where you want to add the "Start Process" action.
  • Click on the "Add Action" button to add a new action to the flow.
  • In the action search bar, type "Start Process" and select the "Start Process (RPA Hub)" action from the available options.
  • StartProcess_Flow.PNG
  • In the action configuration panel, you will see options to select the process name.
  •  Process Name: Click on the dropdown menu next to "Process Name" and select the desired process from the list. Please ensure that the process you want to select is published in the RPA Hub.
  • Once you have selected the process name, configure any additional parameters or settings required for the action.
  • Save your flow to apply the changes.

By following these steps, you will be able to add the "Start Process" action in Flow Designer, select a process from the RPA Hub, and make sure Bot process trigger mode should API & bot process should be published.

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Unfortunately, in 5.0.2 Trigger Mode is no longer on the Bot Process form. The process is published and I am able to select the process in Flow Designer but the process never runs when I test the flow. The patch notes for RPA say that as of 5.0.2 the process trigger is agnostic which I assume means it should run when called by a schedule or flow designer without having to set the trigger but unfortunately it is not working for me. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us.

Understood your concern, please provide below information to debug the issue.
1. Can you please confirm the "Robot life cycle stage" status, It should be in In-Use state.

2. Could you please verify whether the Unattended Robot is connected or not.

3. Please verify the flow execution logs when the Flow triggered.

4. It would be appreciated, if you could provide the screenshot of the process job.
