I am also getting the same error. Anyone having any idea?

Hi @Anamika Gupta

Could you kindly verify the following points and confirm with us:

1. Please double-check the credentials and ensure that the username is in the DOMAIN\Username format.

2. Reverify the assigned role for the user:
Role required: sn_rpa_fdn.rpa_robot (for connection); sn_rpa_fdn.rpa_release_manager or sn_rpa_fdn.rpa_admin (for setup)
For detailed instructions, you can refer to the documentation link provided for setting up the Unattended Robot.

3. Ensure that the installed version on your local machine matches the version available on the RPA hub downloads page.

If there is a version mismatch, please reinstall the latest MSI by navigating to Robotic Process Automation > Administration > Downloads page on the RPA Hub.

I also had this issue. I had to close all the instance windows that I had open, then close the RPA desktop design studio [save your design first], then open your instance, then open the design studio [you should have set up the auto login if you were following the lab]. Now click "connect to instance" it should show you it is already connected. This is not accurate, however. The connection times out, but it still shows as connected. Click the 'publish' button, even if you have already published. If you are actually connected, it will verify the connection and prompt you to enter a name or update an existing robot. Just cancel. If you still have issues connecting, Alphonsa has the right idea to check permissions. Make sure you are trying to connect to the correct instance, check the URL and correct password.
