Background:
Have a customer that wants to start populating ALL of their people data (sys_user, cmn_department, business_unit, location) directly from Workday . I have never done that before as i've always used LDAP for sys_user and Workday for hr_profile however this customer is not licensed for HRSD but are licensed for IntegrationHub. Today, they have a SQL database that is getting fed Workday Data. and they are using a data source connected to a SQL database to get it pulled in to ServiceNow.
It's my assumption that the workday spoke depends on HRSD because it needs all the tables associated to it to work (i.e. hr_profile) but i'm not sure if that's true as I've only ever used the old Workday Integration and not the new flow/integration Hub version and I can't seem to find any information that clearly articulates this.
Questions:
Question 1: Is the workday spoke dependent on the hr_profile table?
Question 2: if 1 = No, is it then relatively straightforward to populate the appropriate tables (i.e sys_user, department, location ect) within the flow?
Question 3: assuming the only licensing constraint for user the Workday Spoke would be IntegrationHub licensing (if this is even an option without HRSD), does that seem right?
If you have any other suggestions, have done something similar before, i'm all ears....
but please....if you say "i've done this before" please provide helpful details. It's not helpful if we just know you've done something successfully without any information about how you exactly accomplished it.

The Workday HR Spoke is an application that you can use within flow designer to develop your custom Workday HR integration automations. It requires only Integration Hub license.
The HR Service Delivery Integration with Workday and the HR Service Delivery Advanced Integration with Workday depend on Workday HR Spoke and require HRSD license. If you do not need these applications, you can use the spoke standalone.
A1 - Workday Spoke does not need HRSD and hence does not require hr_profile table.
A2 - Yes you can see the actions that are available within Workday HR Spoke to define your own custom flows to populate any data, however you will need to define the triggers for those automations. You can get details of the actions from the prod docs or by installing the spoke in your sub-prod instances and trying them out on your own.
A3 - The prod docs has link to the Legal Schedule that will provide information on the license required.

Check the latest legal schedule for packaging information. It is available in packages other than IntegrationHub Enterprise as well.
