I wanted to hide the attachment icon and attachment widget on the workplace case submission page for a specific record producer. This is on the workplace service portal. How can I do that?

Hi Mounika,
Is this a Good Practice? Yes, hiding attachments is a standard requirement for specific forms. However, the method you use matters. You should avoid using CSS or Client Scripts (DOM Manipulation) for this, as they are not upgrade-safe.
The correct, native, and "Best Practice" way to do this is by using the "Hide Attachment" field on the Record Producer configuration itself. This works seamlessly across the Workplace Service Portal.
Here is how to configure it:
Navigate to Service Catalog > Record Producers.
Open the specific Record Producer you want to modify.
Look for the "Portal Settings" tab (or sometimes "Accessibility" depending on your view).
Find the checkbox named "Hide Attachment" (no_attachment).
If you verify this box, the attachment paperclip and widget will disappear for this item.
"I cannot see this field!" If you don't see the "Hide Attachment" field on the form, it is likely just missing from your form layout.
On the Record Producer form, right-click the header.
Select Configure > Form Design.
Search for "Hide Attachment" in the left panel.
Drag it onto the form (usually under the "Portal Settings" section).
Save and check the box.
Why this is better than CSS: By using this checkbox, the platform logic actually disables the attachment handler. If you just hide it with CSS, a user could still potentially drag-and-drop a file onto the browser window to attach it. The native checkbox prevents this entirely.
If this solution solves your issue, please mark it as Accepted Solution.
Best regards,
Brandão.
