Scenario Plan Assigning a Department to unallocated space

Hello Experts,

Is there a way to assign to a new Department to the unallocated spaces from scenario plan ?

One of the basic purpose of the scenario plan is to have the ability to assign the unallocated spaces to diff departments without actually setting this up at the record level. I have come to a stop as I am unable to identify a way to do this. 

If there is something I am missing, please guide.

Department Allocation happens thru the floor map, not from stack plan. 

ServiceNow document needs to clearly mention that. it took me sometime to figure this out.

Hi, I am working on a prototype to demonstrate Department allocation in Scenario Planning. I have successfully configured and assigned Neighborhoods, but I am facing challenges with department configuration. It seems there is a missing connection, and I am unable to make department allocations work within Scenario Planning.

How did you configure department allocation to make it work? Any guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated.
