    Exploring accessibility

ServiceNow is committed to delivering products that are accessible to everyone. ServiceNow products are regularly assessed against current accessibility standards and teams work to identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring they remain usable for everyone.

ServiceNow focuses on product accessibility beyond conformance, aiming to provide an usable and for a diverse customer base through intuitive and usable interfaces.

For detailed information on the product accessibility commitment from ServiceNow, current status, and future plans, refer to the ServiceNow Accessibility Statement.

    Accessibility release notes

Accessibility release notes are available in two locations:

Both pages reflect the current family release — if you're on an earlier version, refer to the release notes for your specific family to find the most relevant accessibility information.

    Configuring accessibility features

The ServiceNow AI Platform is designed to be customized and configured for each customer's needs. This includes configuration options to promote and enable accessibility both on the platform level and through user preferences.

Depending on your setup and the applications that you're using, different accessibility options are available. Work with your admin or implementation partner to determine your accessibility configuration requirements.

    Note:
While the products are designed with accessibility in mind, customizations can sometimes impact accessibility. To verify that accessibility is maintained, test for accessibility after making customizations. The support resources and documentation are available to help guide you through this process.

To find documentation about accessibility features in ServiceNow products, see Product documentation for accessibility.

    Accessibility for developers and designers

The accessibility information provided in the product documentation is typically platform or product specific. Developers and designers who are interested in accessibility guidelines can explore Accessibility Guidelines for developers on the Horizon site.

For Next Experience components, Web Content Accessibility Guideline (WCAG) 2.1 AA conformance level indicators can be found in the overview for each component. See the Horizon site Components section for more information.

    ACRs (VPATs)

Another way to learn more about product accessibility is to review the Accessibility Conformance Report (ACRs also known as VPATs). To view ACRs for currently supported releases, see Accessibility conformance reports.

    Note:

Accessibility testing is conducted on the English platform. For multilingual support details, see ServiceNow AI Platform translation and localization.

    Assistive Technology

Assistive Technology (AT) refers to tools and software that help people with disabilities use digital platforms and websites. This includes screen readers that read text aloud for people who are blind, magnification software for those with low vision, voice controls for people with motor disabilities, and other adaptive devices. AT is used by people with permanent disabilities, temporary injuries, or even situational challenges like using a phone in bright sunlight—representing about 15% of the global population.
